METHODS:
Students are introduced to formal Karate training primarily through the use of traditional Uechi-ryu exercises, kata (pre-arranged movements), bunkai (applications of kata) and pre-arranged and freestyle kumite (sparring). For the beginning student, emphasis is placed on mastering technique in addition to physical skill. For the more advanced student, emphasis is placed on perfection of technique and mastery of physical skill. This path of study is geared towards advancement to the rank of Black Belt. At all levels, students strive to achieve overall personal development by channeling the energy created from Karate into other areas of their lives.

PHILOSOPHY:
Since 1989, the Karate family created by Sensei Kahn and his students has continued to grow and improve. We do our best to provide a professional and friendly environment for students to learn and grow. Our goal is to make our students more successful in life through their Uechi-ryu Karate training. We help our students achieve their true potential and provide positive role models that can educate, motivate and demonstrate the benefits of Uechi-ryu Karate.
